Helping Neuro-Diverse Individuals in Managing their Emotions

My name is Ayaan Raza and I am a 10th grade at Westmont High School. I am very much interested in computers and programming.
I have been teaching coding to kids for the past 5 years where I introduced the concepts of various programming languages. I have been working closely with various organizations that cater to neuro-diverse students in various capabilities.
I have seen up close how these kids have difficulty effectively communicating their emotions, and it becomes even more challenging when their parents or caregivers are not around them.
To overcome this challenge, I have been interested in coming with a solution to help neuro-diverse kids and their families by creating an app that will help in identifying any rapid change in emotions identify using their heart beat and alerting their parents and caregivers to take immediate action.
The app will also gather feedback from the parents and the caregivers about the accuracy of the alerts and response from the parents as to whether the detected anomalies align with actual incidents or not. This would help in continuous improvement of the project and evolve into a more robust and reliable health monitoring application to help the neuro-diverse individuals and their families.
